Alzheimer’s

is one of the most devastating and heartbreaking diseases. I wish it upon no one and empathize with those who are losing a loved one to it and/or dementia. It is so frustrating to see someone you love become a different person, become helpless, become confused, become angry. My heart goes out to caretakers like my mother, who, despite having a family and stressful career, creates time to help my grandmother with her medications every single day and takes her to doctor’s appointments over an hour away and takes her constant phone calls and allows her to occupy our living room for a total of around 3 years. Alzheimer’s is a cruel, mysterious, terrible thing.

I did an unpaid internship over the summer and I learned SO much. Mostly because I took a class/training course as a complement to the internship, but still… I don’t understand why the men in the article spent numerous months in the internship with Black Swan and then, at the end, decided it was not worth it. They are the ones who agreed to the internship, where the terms specified that it was unpaid. Fox should not necessarily owe these men anything. If they were unhappy with the internship, they were more than welcome to quit… or they could simply mark the experience as not worthwhile and find a new, satisfactory internship. I’d hate to see this generation be remembered for whining and incompetence, but the two are so prominent.
